Gilbert "Gib" Gransee
September 23, 1907 — July 6, 1985
Gilbert “Gib” E. Gransee, age 77, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 1985, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Gilbert was born September 23, 1907, in the Town of Springvale, WI, the son of William and Ida (Sommers) Gransee. He graduated from Rosendale High School and then went on to continue his education at Fountain City Business College. Gilbert married Lorraine Gneiser on August 30, 1931, in Fond du Lac. He worked as a Line Foreman at Wisconsin Power and Light and retired in 1970. Gilbert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and past church council president. He was also a member of the Pioneer Club of WI Power and Light, a past Sunday School Superintendant and Parish Board of Education and Usher.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; one son, John of Poynette, WI; one daughter, Judy (Ron) Keller of Ripon, WI, one grandson and one brother, Harley Gransee of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation for Gilbert will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 1985, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Gilbert will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 1985, at 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will be held at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale.
