Gilbert I. Mast, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Gilbert was born on May 6, 1919, on his family farm in Helenville, WI, the son of Armin and Hattie (Buege) Mast. He graduated from Riverside High School and completed another two years in art school. Gilbert married Reidun Thorgersen in Milwaukee. He was a self-employed commercial artist and public relations executive for over 65 years. Gilbert was a volunteer for Ripon Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Reidun of Ripon, WI; three daughters, Sandy (Howard) Krueger of Ripon, WI, Patricia (Michael) Zinn of Bayou Vista, TX and Janice Tuskowski of Houston TX and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Gilbert Mast will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012, from 11-1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Gilbert Mast will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012, at 1:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971. Father John Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
