Gilbert M. Radtke, age 37, of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 1951 at the Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Gilbert was born in Fond du Lac, WI on November 24, 1913 the son of Herman and Lenora (Dilling) Radtke. He attended Fond du Lac County Normal School and Fond du Lac High School. Gilbert taught in Fond du Lac county schools and also worked in the office at Rosendale Cannery. On June 1, 1938 he married Ruth Hendry in Fond du Lac.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Gilbert Jr. of Ripon; his mother, Mrs. H.C. Radtke of Fond du Lac; five brothers, Laurence and Donald both of Newark, NJ, Robert and Herman both of Fond du Lac and Dr. C.J. Radtke of Markesan, WI. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman in 1944.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 1951 until 11:00 am on Friday, September 28, 1951, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 1951 at First Methodist Church in Ripon.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 1951 at the First Methodist Church in Ripon, with Rev. Lewis M. Douglass officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
