Gladys Dolske

September 14, 1919 — October 9, 2003

Gladys I. Dolske, 84, a life long resident of Green Lake, went to rest in the Lord, October 9, 2003, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon, WI.

She was the 3rd daughter of Thomas J. Dolske and Cecelia (Naparalla) Dolske, born September 14, 1919. Graduating from Green Lake High School in 1937, she worked and lived in Lake Forest, IL and Green Lake, WI. In 1942 she became a dental assistant to Dr. Lawrence Milliken, dentist of Green Lake. The majority of her 35 year career was as general manager of Conney’s Merchantile, later Campbell’s Store on the square in Ripon. She was an avid gardener and loved to share her harvest with friends and neighbors. A life long member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake and its Lady’s Alter Sodality. She was active in the Green Lake Business & Professional Women’s Club and the Ripon Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by one sister, Margaret Helgeson of Markesan, formerly of Green Lake, one nephew, Thomas (Debbie) Helgeson of Kona, HI and their daughter Jennifer of Boulder, CO, and one niece Bonnie J. (Helgeson) and (Bo) Price of Milton, VT. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Cecelia Dolske, her sister Lucille & her husband Joe Lemonske, and sister Eleanor Dolske, all of Green Lake.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 13, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary being said at 5:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
