Glendale Bud Klingbeil, age 69, of Ripon, WI, died Tuesday, December 17, 1996, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
He was born in the Town of Nepeuskun February 10, 1927, son of Bert and Cora Wilsnack Klingbeil. He married Geraldine Liptow in Ripon on June 17, 1950. Glen farmed all his life on the family farm, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed boating and motorcycling and was a member of the Retreads (XL Plus) Motorcycle Club, North Central Region. He enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors.
Gen is survived by his wife, Geraldine; four daughters, Beth (Tim) Oestreich of Oshkosh, Bonnie (John) Berndt of Ripon, Diane (Tom) Polakowski of Ripon, Peggy Meehan and fiancé Wayne Warnke of Eureka, and one sister, Orleen Belau of Ripon. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Jennifer and Shane and Tyler Polakowski of Ripon, and Kurt and Russell Meehan of Eureka. Also three step-granddaughters, Pam Berndt stationed in Puerto Rico, Melissa and Angela Berndt of Ripon and one great-granddaughter, Teagan Larschied of Ripon. Also, two sisters-in-law, Dolly Theune of Green Lake and Lois Jawor of Ripon, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents on grandson, Brian Meehan of Ripon.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, December 20, 1996, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with Reverend David Busker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established in his name.
