He graduated from Plymouth High School, received his Bachelors Degree from Ripon College, and received a Masters degree from U.W. Madison and a Masters degree from U.W. Oshkosh. Glenn served his country as a 1st. Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. After playing a year of semi-pro football, the U.S. Army put his athletic talents to work playing and coaching football and baseball in, of all places, Alaska. On August 18, 1956 he married Clara Mae Caswell in Redgranite, WI. Glenn began his career as a Physical Education teacher (K-12) in Edgar, WI. He then moved to Ripon where he spent the next 44 years. He was also employed as Vice-President at M&I Bank, Ripon. He enjoyed serving as a volunteer to the BOLD (Blind Outdoor Leisure Development) Program near Milwaukee, where he taught downhill skiing to the blind. Glenn started painting birds, wildlife, and flowers about two years ago after being diagnosed with acute mylogenous leukemia and unable to continue with his hobbies of golf, fishing and hunting. Donations for his paintings were donated toward cancer research. He was a member of First Congregational Church, Ripon, WEA., NEA., and was a past member of RTA. He had also belonged to the Ripon Kiwanis Club and Brandon Lions Club.
