Glenn M. Whitney, age 90, of the Town of Rosendale, WI, died Monday, October 6, 1997, at his home.
He was born December 25, 1906, in the Town of Rosendale, a son to Warren and Bertha (Wollitz) Whitney. He attended Wilson School and graduated from Ripon High School. On November 17, 1934, he married former Lura Kemnitz. Mr. Whitney lived in the Town of Rosendale all of his life and was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Lura; one daughter, Georgene (Martin) Vinz of Ripon; grandchildren, Susan (Alex) Gohen of Green Lake and Richard Vinz of DePere; nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Myra Whitney. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Walter Whitney and one sister, Iva Whiting, and brother-in-law, Alvin Whiting.
Funeral service for Mr. Glenn M. Whitney will be Wednesday, October 8, 1997, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend David Busker officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
