Gloria J. Van Beynen, age 77, Oshkosh, went to be with Our Lord on February 19, 1999.
She was born September 9, 1921, in Oshkosh, a daughter to the late Henry and Mary (Priebe) Barsch. After graduating from Oshkosh High School in 1939, she attended Oshkosh Teachers College for 2 years. In September 1940, she married Billie L. Cartwright. They had four children. Billie passed away in June 1954. Later, she married George Van Beynen in June 1956. They owned and operated Tasty Bakery in Oshkosh. George passed away in September, 1978.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Schink of Madison, Carter (Liza) Cartwright of Ames, Iowa, Mary (William) King of Appleton, and Guy (Denise) Cartwright of Powell, Ohio; a Soninlaw, Richard Schink of Pleasant Lake, Michigan; 8 grandchildren, Stacey, John, Kit, Cade, Andrea, Erika, Julia and Grant and 4 beautiful greatgrandchildren, Molly, Kiersten, Jacqueline & Aerial. She was preceded in death by her husbands, 1 sister, Myrtle OKrug and 2 brothers, Harvey and Elmer Barsch and special friend Kenneth Paulos.
Glorias children would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Blaha, Dr. Noyes and Affinity Visiting Nurses of Oshkosh. Their love, understanding, and kindness was deeply appreciated. Thank you Lord for your infinite love and mercy.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the:
