Gordon "Bud" Heckes

Gordon “Bud” Heckes, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, February 28, 1992, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
He was born July 29, 1910 in the Town of Rosendale, a son of Fred and Ida (Splittgerber) Heckes. He married Naomi Quick on September 22, 1936 in Pickett. Mr. Heckes besides farming also worked at the Pickett Co-Op for ten years.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi, one daughter, Sharon Christianson of Wichita, KS; one son, Ronald (Shirley) of Avon Lake, Ohio, five grandchildren, one sister, Florence Loomans of Fond du Lac. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and a very good friend Bob Flanagan.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at 1:30 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate and interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. Friends may call Monday, March 2, 1992, at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in his name.
