Gordon "Corky" Klawitter

November 29, 1930 — March 14, 2000

Gordon “Corky” Klawitter, 69, formerly of Fairwater, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center.

Gordon was born on November 29, 1930, in Ripon the son of Matthew “Matt” and Margaret (Lambert) Kiawitter. He attended school in Ripon and Princeton. Corky worked as an assembler for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for 16 years. He married Dorothy Hanneman on April 29, 1961 and they made their home in Fairwater.

Survivors include two sisters; Lorraine (Raymond) Jacobitz of Fond du Lac, and Betty (Romie) Plath of Fairwater; one brother Clifford (Rose) Klawitter of Wittenburg, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy in 1983, and one brother Charles.

Funeral services for Corky will be held on Friday, March 17, 2000, at 6:00 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairwater Cemetery, Fairwater.
