Gordon Gregory, Sr.

January 14, 1916 — October 10, 1996

Gordon Henry Gregory, age 80, formerly of Green Lake, died October 10, 1996, at Sunnyview Health Rehab Center in Princeton.

He was born January 14, 1916, in Marion, Wisconsin, a son to the late Almond and Emma (King) Gregory. On February 7, 1942, he married the former Eleanor Dorothy Halpin. Gordon was an avid fisherman, and managed Hattie Sherwood Park and Campground in Green Lake for 10 years, retiring in 1995.

He is survived by three sons, Gordon H. Gregory, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Arkansas, Gerald A. Gregory and James L. Gregory and his wife, Debbie, all of Kenosha; one daughter, Judith A. McElvaney and her husband, Tom of Florida; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louis and Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor on May 2, 1992, three brothers, Milon, Victor and Lester, and one sister, Lucille.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 13, 1996, at 7:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor Paul Metcalf of the Jubilee Fellowship church in Princeton where Gordon was a member.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. George’s Cemetery in Kenosha.
