Gordon H. Henning Jr., age 61, of Green Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, November 23, 2010, in Oshkosh.
Gordon was born in Ripon, WI, on January 29, 1949, the son of Gordon H. Sr. and Marilyn (Timm) Henning. He graduated from Ripon Senior High School, and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Gordon was a truck driver for Millwork of Oshkosh. He was a member of the Green Lake Willis-Chapel Legion Post #306, in Green Lake. Gordon loved fishing, golfing, bowling, watching tractor pulls and was a Green Bay Packer fan. He was a great gorilla at Wyers Woods.
Survivors include his Fiancée Lisa Lingafelt of Green Lake, two daughters, Nickie (Scott) Esselman of Oshkosh; and Denise Henning of Oshkosh, his mother, Marilyn Henning of Ripon, three brothers, Jim (Nancy) Henning; Tom (Debra) Henning; and David (Melissa) Henning, three sisters, Pat (Mike) Lambert; Linda (Jim) Carstensen; and Debra (Dennis) Luedtke, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews. Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Gordon H. Henning Sr. and four nephews.
Visitation for Gordon H. Henning Jr. will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial Service for Gordon H. Henning Jr. will be held at 1:30 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Karen Jewell of Oshkosh Lutheran officiating. Full Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home. A memorial is being established.
