Gordon Minch

Gordon “Gordie” Minch, age 97, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Ripon Community Hospital.

Gordie was born March 12, 1923, in Plymouth, WI, the son of Jake and Carola (Manz) Minch. He graduated from high school in Plymouth in 1941 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946. Gordie used the GI Bill to further his education at Ripon College. In 1963, he married Hazel Feder in Ripon. Gordie was the president of Admanco in Ripon. He was a former member of Hillside Assembly in Ripon. Gordie was an alum and board member of Ripon College and a founding member of the Heartland Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He was a very humble and charitable person, always active and supportive of his community.

Survivors include his three children, Steven (Lori) Minch of Ripon, WI, John (Cori) Minch of Green Lake, WI and Karen (Thomas) Krumenacher of Pewaukee, WI; grandchildren, David (Rachel) Minch, Samantha (Kyle) Peoples, Kyle (Samantha) Minch and Chloe, Owen, Broden and Emmett Krumenacher; great-grandchildren, Everhett, Abigail and Hazel Minch and Tinsley Peoples. He was further survived by many nieces and nephews. Gordie was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Carola Minch; wife, Hazel Minch; one brother, Gerald Minch; one sister, Gloria Ninneman and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation for Gordie will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 9 – 10:45 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971. For the protection of the family, please follow social distance and mask guidelines.

Private funeral service for Gordie will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, following the visitation with Pastor Dan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in his name.
