Gordon A. Zimdars, age 68, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 1986, at Horseshoe Bend, AK.
Gordon was born January 29, 1918, in the Town of Metomen, WI, the son of Arthur and Louise (Abe) Zimdars. He was educated in the Ripon schools. He served our country in the United States Air Force during WWII. On June 7, 1947, Gordon married Lois Tavs in Ripon. He worked in maintenance at Ripon Foods and retired in 1983. Gordon was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; two daughters, Cheryl Zimdars of Adams and Rosemary Zimdars of Ripon; two sons, Dean of Oshkosh and Rodney of Garland, TX and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation for Gordon will be held on Sunday, April 27, 1986, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Gordon will be held on Monday, April 28, 1986, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Virgil Nulton officiating. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery in the Village of Brandon. A memorial has been established.
