Grace Morgan Prey

Grace Elsie (Morgan) Prey, age 79, died Sunday evening, October 23, 1994, at her daughter’s home North of Rosendale.
She was born October 27, 1914, in Rosendale, a daughter to the late Harold and Elsie Bluemke Morgan. She graduated from Rosendale High School. Grace lived in Rosendale most of her life with exception of the years 1942-1954 when she lived in Green Bay. On October 24, 1942, she married Victor Prey. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1973. Grace was a homemaker. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale, a member of the Rosendale Senior Citizens, and enjoyed playing the alto saxophone and piano. Grace was well known for her baking and cooking and made many fine dishes for her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Lee (Diane) Prey of Waupun and John Victor Prey of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Victoria Jean (William) Pierstorff of Rosendale; eleven grandchildren, Leland, Matthew, Jennifer, James, Jacquelyn, Pamela, David, Cory, Angela, Christina and Andrea and great-granddaughter, Chloe. In addition she is survived by two sisters, Ruth (Harold) Marchant of Fond du Lac and Judy Morgan of Ripon; and one brother, David (Violet) Morgan of Winter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; one son, James David; one daughter, Anne Elizabeth; and one sister, Marge (Morgan) Norton.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Prey will be held Tuesday, October 25, 1994, at 1 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. Reverend Bruce Buslaff and Parish Staff Associate Nancy Schkade will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until the time of the service at the church.
Memorials may be given in her name to either Peace Lutheran Church or Hospice Hope.
