Grace J. Thiel, 79, of 24 Highland Ave. Ripon, died on Thursday, June 16, 1994, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Grace was born on August 22, 1914, in Ripon, a daughter to Louis and Josephine Wachoviak Berlowski. She was educated in Green Lake. On August 15, 1940, Grace married Harry Thiel, and they have made their home in Ripon since then. She was a housewife and also worked at Ripon Foods. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon.
In Addition to her husband, Harry, she is survived by one son, Terry Thiel of Ripon; three sisters, Stell Olkiewicz of Eureka, Irene Aplin of Ripon, and Elsie (Clifford) Pickart of Fond du Lac; one brother, Louis (Adeline) Berlowski Jr. of Fond du Lac; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 until 8 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, June 20, 1994, at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. Father John A. Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon.
