Hans M. Friedrichsen, age 94, of Ripon, died on Monday, December 19, 2011, at Barrett House in Ripon.
He was born on July 8, 1917, in Almdorf, Germany and was married for 71 years to Friederike Lorenzen. He served in the German Air Force during World War II. In 1952, he immigrated with his family to America. Hans worked as a developmental engineer for Elliott Addressograph Company in Atlanta and Boston. In his retirement years, he and “Rike” traveled extensively in their motor home and lived in the South for many years.
Hans is survived by his wife, “Rike”; daughter, Helga (Judson) Rikkers; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.
