Harold "Harry" Borgardt

Harold “Harry” J. Borgardt, age 82, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.

Harold was born March, 15, 1930, in Chicago, IL, and moved to Pickett, WI, when he was three years old. He was the son of Henry and Mary (Borgardt) Borgardt. He attended Oshkosh schools and in 1956, married Elmyra Miller at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nekimi, WI. Harold was a Dairy Farmer and a member of the Winnebago Farm Bureau. Harold enjoyed operating machinery and loved to work on his farm. He was a member of the Republican National Committee. Harold was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pickett, WI, his entire life and served on the church council.

Survivors include his wife Elmyra; sons, Mark (Tamie) Borgardt of Oshkosh, WI, Richard (Wendy) Borgardt of Eldorado, WI, Robert (Kathy) Borgardt of Pickett, WI, Steven (Amy) Borgardt of Ripon, WI; daughter-in-law, Dee Borgardt of Oshkosh, WI; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Cassandra, Breana, Luke, Benjamin, Andrew, Stephanie and Noah; one brother, Ruben (Janice) Borgardt; two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Marge Borgardt; one brother-in-law, Howard Miller all of Oshkosh, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his son James; infant sister; parents; five brothers, Fred, Henry, Dave, Johnny, and Alex Borgardt; four sisters-in-law, June Miller, Dolores, Ollie and Valdene Borgardt.

Visitation for Harold will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 9-11:30 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 County Rd. M, Pickett, WI 54964.

Funeral Service for Harold Borgardt will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 11:30 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Pickett. Pastor Jud Krohn will officiate. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Township of Utica, WI. Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 County Rd. M, Pickett, WI 54964.
