Harold Herman Hein, age 93, of Nipigon, Ontario, Canada, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 in the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital.
Harold was born on May 15, 1924, the son of Herman and Louise (Pinot) Hein. He married Lorraine Roeder, who passed away in 2014. Harold served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a farmer; worked on the line at Speed Queen; ran his company Hein Construction laying foundations and other cement work; worked for Canada Pipeline, and was a trapper.
Harold is survived by five children, Deborah (Kurt) Wilson of Fredonia, WI, Randall (Debora) Hein of Fond du Lac, WI, David (Donna) Hein of Ripon, WI, Joel Hein of Oakfield, WI, and Tom Hein of Princeton, WI; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Louise Hein; his wife, Lorraine; and by his sister Agnes Gatzke.
A visitation for Harold will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A funeral service for Harold will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971, with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale, WI, with full military honors. A memorial is being established in his name.
