Harold Harry W. Hollatz, Jr., age 59, of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2000, at his home.
Harry was born August 27, 1941, in Watertown, a son to Harold and Geraldine (Schoenwetter) Hollatz. He attended school in Ixonia. On May 21, 1966, he married Judy Marks, and they lived in Ixonia until 1972. They then relocated to Ripon where they lived for 28 years. Harry farmed there until 1985, at which time he started working full time as a low-boy semi-driver for Northeast Asphalt Co. in Fond du Lac. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon, Ripon Snow Otters Snowmobile Club, Local #139 Operating Engineers, and Pullers Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hollatz of Ripon; four sons, Joseph (Melissa) Hollatz of Green Lake, Jesse (Rhonda) Hollatz, John Hollatz and Jerome Hollatz all of Ripon; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Jordan and Ryan; twin sisters, Joan (Butch) Rickerman and Jane Hollatz, both of Watertown; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, James Scott Hollatz in January 1993 and his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2000 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 18, 2000, from 4 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home where a Rosary will follow at 8 pm. There will be time to call on Thursday from 10-:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in his name.
