Harold Manthei

Harold E. Manthei, 89, of Ripon, died Sunday January 18, 1998, at Parkview Care Center.

Harold was born on September 15, 1908, the son of Herman and Marie (Kentopp) Manthei. He graduated from Rosendale High School. On January 20, 1940, he married Helen Huth in Ripon. They made the Rosendale, Ripon area their home. He worked for the Radford Company in Oshkosh for 25 years as a salesman, retiring in 1973. Harold was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, and a past member of the Ripon Masons and the Ripon Lions Club.

Surviving Harold are his wife Helen, 2 sons; David Manthei of Ripon, Philip (Susan) Manthei of Ripon, one grandson Steven Manthei of Ripon, brother-in-law, Harold (Miriam) Huth of Markesan, a niece and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Elnora.

Funeral services for Harold will be held at 11 am on January 20, 1998, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Rev. Eric Burnard officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, January 20th from 10:00 am until the time of service at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Internment will follow in the Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
