Harold Alfred Poblitz, age 87, of Ripon, WI, died Wednesday afternoon, October 31, 2001, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan where he had resided the past 3 years.
He was born January 19, 1914, in the Town of Brooklyn, the son of Fred and Ida (Zimdars) Poblitz. In 1932, he graduated from Ripon High School. Harold farmed the majority of his life and was a member of the Fond du Lac Co. Farm Bureau.
Survivors include one brother, Florian Poblitz of Waukesha; two sisters, Lenore Kopp of Burlington and Doloris (DeWilton “Bud”) Ladwig of Green Lake; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Earl and two sisters, Norma and Mildred.
Funeral service for Harold Poblitz will be 11 am on Saturday, November 3, 2001, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Reverend Rebecca A. Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until the hour of the service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
