Harold “Jake” Schneider, age 94, of the Town of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home.
Harold was born on June 26, 1916, in Wisconsin, the son of Cornelius and Regina (Kepnoskie) Schneider. He attended school in rural Rosendale. Harold was a farmer, Ripon School District Custodian and antique dealer. He was active in the Salvation Army, NRA, Constitution Party and Farm Bureau. Harold enjoyed gambling, gardening, collecting antiques and playing sheep head.
Survivors includes one daughter, Carol (Walter) Mathieu of Lamartine, WI; grandchildren, Jackie (Mike) Malterer of Oakfield, WI, Sue (Lance) Lohse of Malone, WI, Harold (Rob Walters) Mathieu of MN, Thomas (Vicki) Mathieu of Brandon, WI and Dan Mathieu of Milwaukee, WI; granddaughter-in-law, Linda Mathieu of Shawno, WI; great-grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, Cheyenne, Ashley, Kassy, Sierra, and Mark; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Vicki and Kevin Hoch and their children, Kennedy and Karrington, Carol and Gerald Schulz, Bill Schneider, Art and Barb Meyer and many more friends. He will be greatly missed by his cat, Tiger. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, Hazel A., Lorraine and Hazel C.; two grandsons, Walter and Mark; one great-grandson, Kevin; thirteen brothers, sisters and in-laws.
Visitation for Harold Schneider will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Harold Schneider will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Paul Nulton will officiate. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. A memorial is being established in his name.
