Harold Weich

December 23, 1915 — November 20, 2001

Harold Weich, age 85, of Ripon, WI, died Tuesday evening, November 20, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where he had lived this past year.

He was born December 23, 1915, in Ripon, a son to Albert and Nathaleen (Kahl) Weich. He attended school in Ripon. On May 4, 1941, he married Erna Keplin, and they made their home in Ripon. Harold had been a shipping clerk for 47 years at Speed Queen. When he retired, they moved to Green Lake and lived there for 20 years, prior to moving back to Ripon. Mr. Weich was a member of the Ripon Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Erna; two daughters, Mary (William) Koonz of Shawano, and Sarah (James II) Pyle of Waco, TX; four grandchildren, John Koonz, Sara (Darren) Cosentino, James Pyle III and Christian Pyle. In addition he is survived by a brother, Elmer (Virginia) Weich of Oshkosh and a sister, Esther (Alfred) Raash of Neshkoro and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Linda Schmuhl and one brother, Leonard Weich.

Funeral service for Harold Weich will be Saturday, November 24, 2001, at 2 pm at the Ripon Assembly of God with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
