Harry Prellwitz

Mr. Harry John Prellwitz, 78, of 221 Thorne St, Ripon, died Friday, September 15, 1989, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 14, 1910, in Ripon to Frederick and Catherine Dorsch Prellwitz. On February 10, 1934, he married Eleanor Comer in Ripon.

Mr. Prellwitz was educated in Ripon and had resided in Ripon all his life. He was formerly employed at the Ripon Knitting Works and the Ripon Public Schools maintenance department. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and a charter member of the Heartland Chapter. He was a member of the Ripon Lions Club and from 1948 thru 1985, he was the assistant scout master for the Ripon Scout Troup.

Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Richard W. and his wife Barbara of Beaver Dam, James H. and his wife Nancy of Wales, WI, and Jerry and his wife Laurie of Eau Claire; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and 1 brother, Clarence and his wife Bessie of North Fond du Lac. His parents preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The Reverend John A. Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m., Monday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
