Hazel Klapperich

Hazel Klapperich, age 93, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Tower View Villa in the Village of Rosendale.

Hazel was born March 21, 1922, in Eldorado, WI, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Koehntop) Smith. She attended grade school in Eldorado and graduated from Rosendale High School. On August 16, 1947, Hazel married Gordon Klapperich in Rosendale. She worked at Green Giant Canning Company and Bowman Dairy Egg Company as an egg candler in Ripon. Hazel also helped her husband, Gordon on their farm. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. Hazel enjoyed making calendars and giving them as gifts, playing cards, Bingo and Yahtzee. She was very active and always getting things done as fast as she could.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Sonja (Darwin) Hilt of Rosendale, WI and many nieces, nephew and a lot of friends. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gordon; one brother, Lyle and two nephews, Anthony and Darwin Hilt Jr.

Visitation for Hazel will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 124 South Main St., Rosendale, WI 54974.

Funeral Service for Hazel will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015, at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church in the Village of Rosendale. Reverend Charles R. Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial is being established in her name.
