Heinie A. Sina, age 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Markesan Resident Home.
Heinie was born on November 6, 1920 at his parents home in rural Ripon. He was one of 10 children of Roman and Victoria (Prallat) Sina. He was educated in Ripon and after working on his parents farm for several years, he went into the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in WWII. On September 25, 1955, he married Alice Ninneman.
Heinie will be remembered for his love and caring for his family, a true friend to many, his constant hard working as a farmer, a painter and wallpaper hanger, Town of Metomen Tax Assessor for 36 years, township building inspector and permit issuer, volunteer for many organizations, including, working at the Green Lake County Fair for the Green Lake County Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, a former church board member and the American Legion Post 43. Heinies true passion was ice fishing, which he said was his real job.
Survivors include, his 3 children, Kathleen Worden of Osprey, FL, Malcolm (Sharon) Sina of Port St. Lucie, FL and Yolanda (Dave) Woloszyn of Ripon; 7 grandchildren, Timothy Sina of Fox Lake, WI, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Sina of Neshkoro, WI, Tamara Worden of Oshkosh, WI, Alyssa (Reginald) Jean-Mary of Miami, FL, Robert (Nina) Sina of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Jason (Abigail) Woloszyn of Ripon, and Bryan Sina of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 7 great grandchildren, Melissa, Justin, Clayton, Jaydon, Autumn, Olivia, and Everett; brother, Roy (Bernice) Sina; 5 sister-in-laws, Lorraine Sina and Esther Ninneman both of Ripon, Freida Nechkash and Laura Reginoski both of Berlin, Lucille Ninneman of Waupun and many nieces and nephews. Heinie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice of 25 years, son, Gregg Sina, siblings, Clara Cotter, Margaret Kasuboski, Florence Smoody, Edward Sina, Paul Sina, Nobert Sina, Arnold Sina, and Adeline Sina.
Visitation for Heinie A. Sina will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St. Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial for Heinie A. Sina will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Father Robert Fictum officiating. Interment will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
