Helen Klatt

Helen Gertrude Klatt, 88, of Green Lake, died Monday, June 29, 1998,at Michalene’s in Ripon.

She was born April 5, 1910, in Dansig, Germany, a daughter to Otto and Anna (Moses) Sachs, moving as an infant to the United States. She received her education in Wisconsin Rapids, and was confirmed on May 27, 1923. On November 28, 1931, she married Raymond Klatt and they spent all of their married life in Green Lake. She was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake and the Women’s Fellowship. Helen was an avid gardener, enjoyed her flowers and took pleasure in cooking for others.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Jazdzewski of Wisconsin Rapids, sister-in-law, Marion Sachs of Appleton, brother-in-law, Erwin Klatt of Fort Atkinson, several nieces and nephews, and her friends, Virginia and Joe Tetzlaff of Markesan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1986, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 2,1998, at the Federated Church of Green Lake with the Rev. Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established.
