Helen I. Nowinski, age 91, of Ripon, passed away December 6, 2009 at Ripon Medical Center.
Helen was born on November 12, 1918, to Paul and Anna (Siedlitz) Manke, in the Town of Rushford, Wisconsin. She graduated from Omro High School in 1935. On July 3, 1937, she married Leo John Nowinski. Helen worked growing fruits and vegetables as a truck farmer. She enjoyed embroidering, canning, making popcorn balls, and cinnamon rolls, and spending time with friends and family. She was a past member of the Ladies Aid and a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie (James) Krinke, of Ripon; grand children,
Matthew (Julie) Krinke of Mukwonago, WI, Debra Krinke and husband Rodney McLaughlin of Omro, WI; great-grand children Megan McLaughlin, Lauren and Ethan Krinke; and sister, Arloene Runge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Armin, and Elmer Manke.
Visitation for services for Helen will be on Thursday December 10, 2009, from 9-11:00 AM, at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM, at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon. Pastor Dennis Meier will officiate. Internment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
