Helen Bertha Reibold, age 92, of Brandon, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Marvins Manor, in Brandon.
Helen was born on October 7, 1917, in Horicon, WI, the daughter of John and Bertha (Thrun) Zimbeck. She graduated from Horicon Public Schools. In 1940, Helen married Melvin Leonard Reibold in Amawosa, Iowa. She was the president of the local American Cancer Society, sang in the Methodist Church Choir, and taught Sunday school. Helen truly enjoyed living and working at the American Baptist Assembly. Helen and her husband Melvin operated the Princeton/Montello Theater for twenty five years until his death in 1974. She also enjoyed her new friendships she made at Russell Manor. Helen's true loves were quilting and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, John (Mary) Reibold of Brandon, WI and David Reibold of Rockton, IL; one grandson, Lee Reibold of Appleton, WI; two brothers, John Zimbeck of Milton, WI and Lloyd Zimbeck of St. Paul, MN; one daughter-in-law, Mary Reibold of Portage, WI; two nieces, Carol Meland of Milton, WI and Linda McNamara of Dubuque, Iowa; and a cousin, Gloria Zirbel of Horicon, WI. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; father-in-law, Henry Reibold; mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Helen and Edward Bartell; and her oldest son, Warren.
Per Helens wishes there will be no visitation or Memorial service. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam, WI, at a later date.
