Helen E. Williams, age 85, of 129 Stoney Ridge Rd, Ripon, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, June 12, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born December 9, 1917, in Brandon, the daughter of William and Della (DeGroot) Loomans. She graduated from Brandon High School and Berlin Normal, and taught school for a period of time. On April 21, 1940, she married Leigh Williams in Indiana and became a housewife. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Leigh Williams of Ripon; 3 sons, Leigh (Carol) Williams of Brookfield, Stephen (Betty) Williams of New Berlin, and Bill (Lori) Williams of Green Lake; 6 grandchildren, Joel (Christy), Russell, Chris, Jennifer, Joshua and Randi; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters. Margaret Vruwink of Rice Lake, Agnes Kasten of Green Lake, Wilma (Billie) Gulbrandson of Tuscon, AZ and Nancy Harrick of Madison; numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2003, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. David A. Busker officiating with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Wedges Prairie Cemetery in Ladoga.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
