Henrietta T. Sommer, age 77, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 1993 at her home.

She was born on October 29, 1915, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Arnold and Amalia (Kruecke) Schuerer. On May 14, 1938, she married Howard Sommer. Henrietta attend Wauwatosa Schools through the 12 grade. She was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, women’s fellowship of the Federated Church, as well as the Happy Hearth Homemakers. Mrs. Sommer lived most of her life in Racine, and the past seven years in Green Lake. She worked at Zahn’s Department Store of Racine as a Sales Person.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon J. (Dale) Fischer of Green Lake; one son Lawrence (Margaret) Sommer of Darien, IL; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Fischer of Green Lake; Cheryl (Richard) Schoewe, Dalton, WI; Robert Fischer of Green Lake; Kristan Sommer of IL; Scott Fischer of Green Lake; two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Jonathan Fischer of Green Lake; one brother, Edward (Mary) Schuerer of Milwaukee; one sister Janet Currer of West Allis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; one sister, Winifred Holden.

Funeral services for Henrietta Sommer will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 1993, at the Federated Church of Green Lake. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. The Reverend Kent Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
