Henry W. Asen, Jr., 85, Green Lake, WI, passed away early Friday morning, February 14, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Henry was born on February 5, 1918, in Whitefish Bay, WI, the son of Henry and Hannah Asen, Sr. After graduating from Whitefish Bay High School, he worked as a tool and die maker foreman for Milwaukee Die Casting. On February 3, 1940, he married Ella Kuether. Henry retired in 1974 and moved to Green Lake in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Ella of Green Lake; son, Henry A. (Ruth) Asen; daughter, Beverly (Thomas) Connery; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sandy) Asen, Thomas (Marcia) Connery, Christopher Connery, Brian (Cheri) Connery, and Colleen Connery; great-grandchild, Kyle Connery; sisters, Marion Kihn, and Lorraine Stroh; brother, Robert (Lorraine) Asen; and sister-in-law, Gloria Asen. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leslie.
Funeral services for Henry W. Asen, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Rev. Donald Deike officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 18th from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Milwaukee, WI. Memorials may be given in his name to Alzheimer’s Association, SE WI, 6130 W. National Ave. Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53214 or the American Cancer Society, 515 Superior Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
