Henry Hoekstra, age 79, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, April 12, 1991, at his residence.
Henry was born January 17, 1912, in Chicago, IL, a son to William and Elizabeth (Smit) Hoekstra. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. On January 8, 1966 he married Betty Brayley in Chicago. He was an upholsterer for 45 years. They moved to Green Lake in 1976. Henry was a past member of the Green Lake Rotary Club. His favorite hobby was to paint scenic pictures.
Henry is survived by his wife, Betty, three sons: Wayne and Kenneth both of Los Angeles, CA, and Ray (Angie) of Ripon; one brother, Richard (Ida) of Clarendon Hills, IL and three sisters: Ruth Kochis of Thorton, IL, Jean Drenth and Revina Rudenga both of Whitter, CA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 16, 1991, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral Services for Henry Hoekstra will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Leo Joyce officiating. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. Memorials to Hospice Hope requested by the family.
