Herbert Baumgardt

Herbert A. Baumgardt, age 75, of Ripon, WI, died Friday, October 25, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born July 23, 1921, in Germany, a son to Otto and Helen (Walkowiak) Baumgardt. He was a graduate of Ripon High School. On May 10, 1942, he married the former Eunice Dudzinske in Ripon. Herb served his country in the Pacific Theatre during WWII from 1943 – 46. He was a life member of the V.F.W. and of the American Legion Post #43. Until his retirement, he had worked in the plant at Speed Queen in Ripon. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
In addition to his wife, Eunice, he is survived by one son, Robert and his wife, Nancy of Ripon, and their children, Kimber, Tom and Joey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 28, 1996, at 11 am at the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, from 4 until 6:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon followed by a V.F.W. Legion Service at 6:30 pm. A memorial has been established in his name.
