Herbert “Joe” Hunt, age 81, of Green Lake, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake, WI.
Joe was born on May 4, 1928, in Cumberland, WI, the son of Herbert and Agnes “Bootch” (Larson) Hunt. He graduated from Frederic High School and went on to college at the University of Wisconsin where he earned his Master of Science degree. Joe married Ila Williamson on June 23, 1956. He spent time in the Pentagon while in the Army and was a member of the Chicago Actuarial Club and the American Academy of Actuaries. Joe spent most of his career in the Chicago area, working as an actuary and ending at All American Insurance Company.
Survivors include his wife, Ila; one son, Robert Hunt of Chicago, IL; one daughter, Kathryn “Katie” Hunt of Oak Park, IL; one brother, Jerry (Eleanor) Hunt of Portland, OR; and nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Gene.
Per Joe’s wishes there will be no services.
Inurnment will be at a later date at the Brandon Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association Memorial Program, 13100 W. Lisbon Rd. Suite 700 Brookfield, WI 53005-2508.
