Herbert Singmaster

August 2, 1920 — December 14, 2006

Herbert Kennedy Singmaster, age 86, of 511 Griswold St. Ripon, passed away Thursday evening, December 14, 2006 at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.

Herb was born on August 2, 1920 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Roy and Louise (Kennedy) Singmaster. He graduated from Fort Scott High School and on September 1, 1945 he married Norma Page in Florida. Herb was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, a past board member of the Town of Metomen, and an agent for Fly Away Insurance of Waupun. He served his Country during WWII in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his daughter, Jaclyn (Steve) Bertram of Ripon, five grandchildren; Chad (Maureen) Bryden of Ripon, Kurt Bryden of Ripon, Heather (Gabriel Nadel) Singmaster of New York, Kelly Singmaster and special friend Gary Cox of Florida, Kalani Singmaster of Florida, three great-grandchildren; Payton Bryden, Sierra Krueger, and Lili Lynn Singmaster, one Daughter-in-law; Brenda (Lynn) Wrobel of Florida, one brother; Gene (Fern) Singmaster of Colorado, three sisters; Dorothy (Jim) Bullock of Missouri, Isabell Shull of Washington, and Marjorie Lewis of Kansas.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Lynn and an infant Mickey Ray, four brothers; Bob, Brown, Don, and Harold, two sisters; Carrie and Jane, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation for Herbert Singmaster will be held on Monday, December 18th, 2006 from 4-8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. And again on Tuesday December 19th, 2006 at Immanuel United Methodist, Ripon from 11-12:00 noon.

Funeral Services for Herbert Singmaster will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with Reverend Paul W. Nulton officiating. Interment will follow with full Military Honors at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery, Town of Metomen. A memorial has been established in his name.

Herb will be remembered for his kindness, caring, genuine honesty, and most of all for his great generosity, as well as always willing to give of himself to others. He had a great love for his family and friends and was so proud of his children & grandchildren, and easily cried with their every accomplishment. We will all remember the great love & pride he had for his farm which he carried with him until the very end. We will all keep him in our hearts forever.
