Herman Julius Zander, age 92 of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 1951 at his home.
Herman was born in Germany on March 27, 1859, the son of Fredrich and Dorothea (Kanneman) Zander. He was educated in Gornitz, Germany. After moving to Ripon he started farming. On August 27, 1896 he married the late Augusta Prochnow.
Herman is survived by four daughters, Sophia Zander of Pasadena, CA, Ella Stone of Artesia, NM, Clara Gelhar of Ripon, WI, and Dorothy Behm of Weyauwega, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Augusta Zander; a son; two brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation for Herman will be held from the afternoon of Tuesday, August 14, 1951 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Herman will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 1951 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Shieler officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
