Mrs. Hilda Stelton, age 81, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, February 23, 1990, at her residence.
She was born August 19, 1908, in Underwood, MN, to August and Wihelmina Heuer. She grew up and attended school in Underwood. On September 30, 1929, she married George Stelton. Mrs. Stelton moved to Green Lake, WI in 1940, where she has resided ever since. She worked at the Green Lake Post Office and was a waitress at Norton’s Heidel House and Van Rhyan’s Steak House. She was past president of the 20th Century Club in Green Lake.
She is survived by a son, Dean (Mary) Stelton of Shreveport, LA and a daughter, Marilyn Crouch of Sturgeon Bay, WI; also six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Minnie) Kolstad of Underwood, MN. Her parents, husband, one brother, one son, and on granddaughter preceded her in death.
Friends may call on Monday, February 26, 1990 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stelton will be held Monday, February 26, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI. The Reverend Dwight Bastian will officiate. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Hope of Berlin, WI in her name.
