Mr. Howard Lawrence Sommer, 78, 618 N. Lawson Dr, Green Lake, WI, was Born to Eternal Life, Sunday, November 19, 1989, at his residence.
He was born April 21, 1911, in Milwaukee, WI, to Christian and Alma Nordby Sommer. On May 14, 1938, he married Henrietta T. Schuerer.
Mr. Sommer was educated in Milwaukee. He was a salesman for a meat packing company. He had resided in Peel, Arkansas; Milwaukee & Racine, WI. The past 2 ½ years he had resided in Green Lake, WI, and was a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sharon J. Fischer and her husband Dale of Green Lake; one son, Lawrence H. Sommer and his wife Margaret of Darien, IL; 2 brothers, William and Russell; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, at 11:30 a.m. at The Federated Church of Green Lake. The reverend Dwight Bastian will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of services at the church.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the American Lung Association, the Childrens Service Society of Milwaukee, the Arthritis Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
