Ida Liptow

Mrs. Ida E. Liptow, age 95, formerly of Ripon, passed away on March 4, 1993, at Omro Care Center.
She was born on May 21, 1897, in Markesan, the daughter of Julius and Pauline Berndt Quest. She attended Arcade School in Ripon. On July 5, 1916, she married Elmer Liptow. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1964. Ida was a life-long resident of Ripon and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.
Survivors include three sons, Lloyd (Doris) Liptow of Oshkosh, Ralph (Arlene) Liptow of Ripon and Eart (Betty) Liptow of Ripon; one daughter, Arlene Heffernon of Rockford, IL; one sister, Mildred Stewart of Ripon; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son Alden, one sister, Leona Wood and one brother, Edwin Quast.
Funeral services for Mrs. Liptow will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 1993, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Howard Ott will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from noon until the hour of services at the funeral home. A memorial for Immanuel United Methodist Church has been established in her name.
