Ira Hutchison, 89, of 430 Shepard St., Ripon, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2001 at Ripon Medical Center.
Ira was born on April 22, 1912 the son of George W. and Harriet (Rector) Hutchison in Fond du Lac, WI. He graduated from Ripon High School, and served his country in WWII in Europe. Ira worked as a baker for Ripon Foods for 50 years. On March 23, 1953 he married Ruth Hielke and they made their home in Ripon. Ira was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Shultz-Klemp-Wentland Post # 5278 in Ripon.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, two daughters, Janice (Stephan) Ohlrich of Ripon, and Debra (Gary) Jahnke of Appleton; two sons, King Hutchison and Ace Bradford Hutchison; three grandchildren, Robert Kranz, Tim Kranz, Caitlin Jahnke; one great-grandchild, Alex Kranz; and many nieces and nephews; and very good friends, Becky Wahoske and Marissa Arveson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters and brothers, Milo, Harvey, Pearl, Ruth, Lloyd, and Lucille.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 from 4-7 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Burial will follow in Bethel Reeds Cornors Cemetery, Town of Metomen. Memorials may be made out to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
