Irene Emelia (Malzhan) Albright, age 93, of Ripon passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012.
Irene was born November 25, 1918 in Green Lake Township, the daughter of Frederick and Laura (Klimke) Malzhan Sr. She married Carl Elmer Albright at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon on September 26th, 1942. Irene was educated at Springbrook School, Green Lake, WI. She worked as a nanny and maid when a young woman; later at the Egg Factory and once married she was a devoted homemaker, mother and hardworking farm wife. She also worked at Miles Kimball and put in 25 years at Rippin Foods.
Survivors include her daughter, Marvis Rodrigues of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Mary Ellen Albright of Tucson, AZ and son, James Albright of Ripon, WI; six grandchildren, Charles (Sue) Michel of Atlanta, GA, Kimberly Albright of Manitowoc, WI, Matthew (Maggie) Albright and their children, Luella and Willow all of Oshkosh, WI, Emily Rodrigues of Los Angeles, CA, Ashley Hays of Tucson, AZ, Aaron Albright of Ripon, WI. Irene has several nieces and nephews as well as one sister, Illa Neal; four brothers, Rhinold (Shirley) Malzhan, Arnold (Betty) Malzhan, Frederick (Sharon Wegner) Malzhan Jr., and Robert Malzhan; sisters-in-law, Delores Malzhan and Ruth Malzhan.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Albright; son, Dennis Albright; grandson, Phillip Rodrigues; brothers, Herbert Malzhan, Alvin (Blanche) Malzhan, Marvin Malzhan and Vernard Malzhan; sisters, Lucille (Herman) Beier, Lorraine (Charles) Schuck, and Doris Zaugg; sisters-in-law, Betty Malzhan, Dena Splittgerber, Lilace Kalapich.
Visitation for Irene Emelia Albright will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971, and again on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 9 – 10:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Irene Emelia Albright will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St. Ripon, with the Pastor Mark R. West officiating. Interment will be at the Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun, WI. A memorial is being established.
