Irene Hilke, age 63, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 1988, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
Irene was born on January 1, 1925, in the Town of Bloomfield, Waushara Co., the daughter of John Jr. and Lydia (Yesse) Lind. She attended school at Willow View School, in the Town of Bloomfield, and resided in Brooklyn the last 42 years. On November 24, 1945, she married Edwin Hilke. Irene was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Green Lake, WI.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. David (Darlene) Patchett and Mrs. Douglas (Doreen) Curtis, both of Green Lake; two sons, Duane of Prairie du Chien and Daryl of Ripon; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four brothers: Norman Lind of Ripon, Charles Lind of Poy Sippi, George Lind of Berlin and Junior Lind of Ripon; five sisters: Mrs. Edward Manske of Ripon, Mrs. Charles Dillman of Westfield, Mrs. Ray Schultz of Ripon, Mrs. Norman Miller of Ripon, and Mrs. Arnold Schonscheck of Omro. She was preceded in death by her husband.
A visitation for Irene will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 18, 1988, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
A funeral service for Irene will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 19, 1988, with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. A memorial in Irene’s name has been established.
