Irene F. Marshall, age 88, passed away Monday, March 15, 2004, at her home in the Town of Rosendale.
She was born July 2, 1915, in the Village of St. Marie, Green Lake Co., the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Kraftchak) Kozlowski. Irene was educated in Princeton at St. Johns Catholic School. On June 28, 1938, she married Chester W. Marshall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Princeton, and they farmed in the Town of Rosendale. Mrs. Marshall was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her son, Bernard Marshall of the Town of Rosendale; 2 daughters, Jean (DaWayne) Zabel of the Town of Ripon and Doris Smoody of Oshkosh; 1 daughter-in-Law, Charlotte Marshall; 8 grandchildren, Don (Pam) Bernier, Jr, Michael (Sandy) Bernier, Mary Bernier, Charlene Marshall, Pamela (Marc) Sonnenberg, Tyrone (fiancee Julie) Smoody, Charles (Tammy) Beck, and Ron Beck.13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille Hopp of Berlin and Jeannie (Victor) Shurpit of Princeton; 1 brother, Clarence (Theresa) Kozlowski of Princeton, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 26, 1988; parents; 1 brother, Joseph Kozlowski; and 1 sister, Victoria Kundert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Rev. Robert A. Fictum officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2004, from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be on Saturday ½ hour prior to the mass at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
