Irene I. Mueller, age 93, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008, at her home.
Irene was born on December 12, 1914, in Montello, the daughter of Edward and Martha (Schultz) Weyer. She attended school in Montello, and on November 8, 1936, married Victor Mueller. Irene was a devoted wife and mother who spent time with her children as well as work the long hours each day side by side with her husband on the farm. She loved to can and preserve fruits and vegetables, and her cooking was well received by all who had the privilege to taste it. Irene was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Victor, Jr. of Princeton, James (Linda) of Pickett, and Thomas of Ripon; 4 grandchildren, Joshua of Ripon, Lindsay (Randy) Villalobos of Ripon, Hailey Mueller of Ripon, and Stephanie Mueller of Berlin; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, Sr.; son, Gordon; brother, Harvey; and 3 sisters, Edna, Irma, and Leona.
Visitation for Irene I. Mueller will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for Irene I. Mueller will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
