Irene Mueller

Mrs. Irene Elsie Mueller, age 80, of 522 Hall St., Ripon, died November 24, 1989, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

She was born November 30, 1908, in Ripon, to Leo and Lena Meilahn Gatzke. On February 21, 1928, she married Adolph Mueller.

Mrs. Mueller was educated in Ripon. She was a housewife and had lived in the Ripon area all of her life. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. She was a member of the Women’s Guild and was an active member on many of the committees of the church.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth of Ripon; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Jack Gatzke of Ripon and Carol Gatzke of Killeen, Texas and one sister, Hazel Meyer of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 16, 1973, along with one sister, one brother and one great-grandson.

Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. The Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.

Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial for the church has been established in her name.
