Irene Street, age 95, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Omro Care Center.
Irene was born on May 27, 1912, in the Town of Mecan, Marquette County, WI, the daughter of Theodore A. and Emilla (Oelke) Stibb. She graduated high school, and on April 15, 1931, married Walter Street. Irene was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her son, Milton Street of Ripon; daughter-in-law, Janet Street of Chicago; 3 grandchildren; brother, Henry Stibb of Fond du Lac; and several nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; son, Eldon Street; 6 brothers; and her sister.
Visitation for Irene Street will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Irene Street will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Meier officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Reeds Corner Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. Memorials in Irene’s name may be given to Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
