Irvin "Irv" Ott

July 1, 1941 — February 4, 2009

Irvin Joseph “Irv” Ott, age 67, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, with his family at his side.

Irvin was born on July 1, 1941, in Whitefish Bay, WI, the son of Joseph and Harriet Ott. He graduated from Ripon College, and than worked as a Controller for Ripon College for 34 years. After retiring Irv enjoyed golfing and working part-time at Mascoutin Golf Club as a ranger, and working for the Diedrich Agency in Ripon as an Accounts Payable Manager. He loved spending time with his family and his two dogs, Ty and Tia.

Survivors include, his companion and soul mate Barbara Bending of Ripon; two sons, Robert (Michelle) Ott of St. Paul, MN, and Joseph (Jennifer) Ott of Chaska, MN; four grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth, and Teagan Ott of St. Paul, MN, and Avery Ott of Chaska, MN; one nephew, James Clark of Breckenridge, CO; Barb’s children, Rick (Tammy) Bending of Berlin, and Mike (Tammy) Bending of Redgranite, Pam (Dan) Jonas of Ripon; three grandchildren, Brice, Carson, and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Ott, and Marilyn Pross.

Visitation for Irvin J. Ott will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009, from 4-8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral service for Irvin J. Ott will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Memorials can be given to Stem Cell Research in Irv’s name:
