Irving Kemnitz

Irving Richard Kemnitz, age 79, of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 1991, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.

Mr. Kemnitz was born August 10, 1911, in the Town of Green Lake, a son to Richard and Clara (Gerke) Kemnitz. On September 29, 1934, he married Alice Heitmann. They farmed in the Town of Green Lake all their lives. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1989. Mr. Kemnitz was a member of Jehovah Witnesses.

Survivors include two sons, Roger and Rodney, both of Markesan; three daughters, Nancy (Vilas) Sprecher of Prairie du Sac, Mona Marie Kemnitz of Ripon and Marlo (Scott) Janas of Euless, TX; three granddaughters and one grandson. His parents, one daughter, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Calling hours will be from 6 until 9:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial service for Irving R. Kemnitz will be held Monday, May 20, 1991 at 6:30 p.m. at Kingdom Hall. The Minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be Clifton Sleger of Ripon. Interment will be in the Green Lake Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. A memorial in his name has been established for the Kingdom hall Building Fund.
